Cross Browser Compatibility and Standards Compliance?

NEWSLive is compatible with all major browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari and Microsoft Internet Explorer (including Internet Explorer 6!). NEWSLive is fully xHTML/CSS/RSS valid and complies with the latest web standards. The theme is a pixel perfect development and doesn’t break in any browser.

Compatibility with the latest version of WordPress

NEWSLive is fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress. This Theme does not use WordPress Options (wp_options table) and does not interfere with the core files to provide you the most usable and productive Custom Admin Options. Hence we believe it will be compatible with the future versions of WordPress as well.

No programming knowledge required!

Theme Configuration Options and Widget Options given with this theme enable you to fine-tune each and every part of the theme without touching the theme files or code at all! Services like Twitter, flickr, Entrecard and AddThis social bookmarking are already integrated into the theme.

Custom scripts like Site-Tracking code can be added in the back end itself without updating any of the theme files. These scripts automatically go to the right place where they should be and work like magic. So, all in all, you don’t need to know the “P” of Programming to use this theme.

Custom Header Configuration

All the pages you create appear in the navigation at the top. However, if you wish to exclude a page from the list, you can easily do that from Header Options in the Admin Panel under Theme Settings. Then comes the featured magazine/news headline section in the header which can be displayed either on all pages or you can choose to display it on the homepage only.

Featured Content

In the header section, you can feature the images from posts in a Plasma Display Panel or feature a video or your latest blog article with tags – whatever you wish to use. This, along with the tabs and the tag cloud make navigating through the site a breeze. These tabs can be configured to show as a category and list the posts in it with title and brief description. These options are provided in the Header Configuration in the theme options.

Widget Configuration

You can integrate your Entrecard, Twitter and flickr accounts with your blog simple by entering your usernames. Widgets options allow you to choose how many twitter updates or images from your flickr Photo-Stream you want to display. The cool thing about the widgets in NEWSLive theme is that they resize automatically depending upon whether they are in the smaller or the bigger sidebar.

Managing RSS Feed Subscriptions

You can choose to manage your feeds using your feedburner account. If not, the default WordPress feed setup is always there for you. Managing your feed subscriptions was never any easier.
