If you have removed the plug-in files from your server via FTP, it will automatically be deactivated and the code doesn’t change anything.. so it should work.

You make a good case for having a unique website design. There are ways that people can make their sites unique and memorable without having to hire a professional graphic designer. But, if you run a corporate website, you are definitely better off hiring someone to create a strong brand image.
