Update | Custom Coming Soon Pages Plugin – ver 1.01

Custom Coming Soon Pages WordPress plugin has been released only 2 days ago and we already have over half a thousand downloads! I am absolutely delighted with such positive response from you – the CSSJockey community. I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU for all your feedback and appreciation that helps keeping CSSJockey motivated and dedicated to serve you better.

I have released an immediate update to the Custom Coming Soon Pages Plugin – The update introduces another default theme for the Default Coming Soon Page which is quite similar to the original one but without the Count-Down Timer. So all of you who have upcoming projects but are not sure about the launch date – Grab an updated copy of the Plugin from the WordPress Plugin Repository and put it to good use :-)

Hi!
First of all, congratz for that amazing plugin that I love…
I custumized all I wanted… but when I try to see the result, nothing happened and I don’t understand why… it shows the default wordpress theme instead of the coming soon page…
Can you help me finding out what I missed or did wrong with the plugin?
Many thanks in advance for your help! :)

Thanks for your inputs. I hope you have enabled it from the backend. However, there are some known issues and I am trying my best to spare time from my schedule to fix them. New version will be released soon.

Hi,
I’m using wordpress Mu, and i installed and activated the plugin but it doesnt work. Any clue?

I hope you are not using the Site Wide Activate feature as it will only work on individual blogs.
The demo is running on WP MU and I tried the site-wide activate and it won’t work, however, if you activate the plug-in on single blog it will. Let me know if you are facing some other issue with error messages if any at http://support.cssjockey.com

Thanks for the plugin.

A few things aren’t working:

-Even though I am logged in as administrator (WPMU), I do not see the working site, only the construction page. I also tried closing out my browser and trying again by launching the site from the dashboard, but that didn’t do it. I will need to disable this plugin so I can work on the site until I can get acess to viewing the working site (this is my only outstanding issue).

-The countdown timer shows 54 days and some hours, even though I had it set to 4 days from today. So I am now using the no timer option.

-Logo and background images weren’t showing. I had to reset to default values, re-key in my image URLs (and everything else), then it worked.

-The login link is not showing even though I have activated it.

-The “We’re not there yet” was displaying like this: “We/’re not there yet” until I replaced the apostrophe with the html character code equivalent ’

Thanks,
~Jeff

I am using WPMU for the demo site. Please try activating the plugin on the blog as site-wide it doesn’t work. I have fixed a few bugs you mentioned in Version 1.06 (latest). Please upgrade the plugin to the latest version. Let me know if you still face any issues.

1.06 did the trick. It seems to be working perfectly now, thanks!

Another problem is that I can’t reset the Launch Date. I’ve changed the Launch Date to an earlier date but it’s not updated on the coming soon homepage.

Hi Kevin, Upgrade the plugin to version 1.02. I tested this on local server as well as on live demo site and its works. Let me know if you still face any issues.

I like this plugin, it’s so great for my under construction blog.

By the way how do I turn off the Coming Soon option without disabling the entire plugin? Also, I have display problem on my Thesis theme.

Please check out my blog at http://www.imkevintan.com/ and let me know how can I fix this.

Thanks in advance!

I think there’s a conflict with the class names and style sheets. I’ll release a fix for that asap.

Great work!
But I have some problems, look at this screen http://img2.pict.com/48/e6/69/1958788/0/error.jpg There is no logo and text messages moved up (in any browser and theme). Do you know how to solve this problem?
Thank you!

Hi Katherine, Try restoring the settings to default and update the settings again. You need to provide full URL for your logo for e.g. http://www.Your-Website.com/images/logo.png.

Please let me know if you still face any issues.

Hi CSSJockey,
I restored the settings, updated again, enable/disable it, but still have the same problem.. no logo, no text message “Coming soon”, no “connect via…”, etc :(
